With a spectacular Ubuntu sticker stuck on my laptop…. I installed Feisty on my Dell Latitude D820. OMG. It went smoother than ANY install I have ever done — In. My. Life. Seriously. Nvidia driver install? Piece of cake. Beryl was also as simple to install as “sudo apt-get install”…

Out of curiosity, I left the Windows partition intact (still need it for work anyway) and lo’ and behold, just like the “box” says, it picked up (most) of my Winblows settings and ported them on over. I had a few bookmarks (Favorites) in IE but had a metric ton of them in Firefox. Unfortunately, it only ported the IE bookmarks into Firefox on Feisty. That is a tiny little annoyance.

I am still tweaking out my install but I am thus far loving every minute of Feisty. Boy howdy, try it for yourself!
